Paris Runway Exclusive - SS27 Fashion Week Press Accreditation: Paris, London and Milan Open Applications
Press accreditation is now active across key parts of the Spring/Summer 2027 fashion-week circuit, but the systems and the access they provide are not the same. Paris and London have opened their official accreditation platforms, while Milan has published firm documentation deadlines for its September 22–28 womenswear edition. New York continues to operate through the CFDA’s official schedule and individual show contacts rather than advertising one universal public press pass.
For editors, photographers, content creators and PR teams planning the September circuit, the most important distinction is simple: accreditation supports professional recognition and access to official resources; it does not automatically secure a seat at a runway show. Invitations generally remain with each fashion house or its press office.
SS27 fashion-week dates at a glance
- New York Fashion Week: September 10–15, 2026
- London Fashion Week: September 17–21, 2026
- Milan Fashion Week: September 22–28, 2026
- Paris Fashion Week: September 28–October 6, 2026
These dates create a compressed international reporting window, with Milan and Paris overlapping on September 28. Editorial teams should prepare credentials, commissions and local contact details before travel begins rather than waiting for final show invitations.
Paris: accreditation is open, with an August service pause
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode confirms that accreditation for Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027 is open. The official season runs from Monday, September 28, through Tuesday, October 6.
The separate FHCM accreditation platform accepts account requests from media, buyers and freelancers. It also carries two important notices: FHCM does not provide invitations to shows, which remain at the discretion of the houses, and the accreditation service is closed from August 3 through August 16.
That closure should be treated as a processing and planning consideration. The public page does not currently display a final SS27 submission deadline, so applicants should use the official platform and avoid relying on unverified dates circulated elsewhere.
For the season’s confirmed houses and preliminary order, see Paris Runway’s Paris Fashion Week SS27 provisional calendar report.
London: commissions and recent work are central
London Fashion Week accreditation for September 2026 is now open. The British Fashion Council’s published criteria are unusually clear about the evidence expected from different types of applicants.
Press applicants must be commissioned by an established fashion publication able to demonstrate adequate reach. They must also provide proof of fashion work published online or in print during the previous 12 months. The BFC states that student publications are not accredited.
Content creators are assessed under separate audience thresholds. The official criteria currently list at least 35,000 Instagram followers; 60,000 YouTube subscribers with an average of 50,000 views per fashion video; or 100,000 TikTok followers alongside specified posting and view requirements. Websites and blogs must demonstrate more than 15,000 monthly unique visitors using clearly dated statistics from the previous three months.
Photographers face another distinct process. The BFC requires catwalk photographers to be commissioned by an agency or publication and says freelance photographers are not accredited. Access outside the BFC NEWGEN Show Space—and all backstage access—must be requested directly from designer PR teams.

Milan: September 8 is the strategic deadline
Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana has published the most detailed press timetable. To request accreditation for Milano Fashion Week Women’s Collection, applicants must email the CNMI press office with a copy of a press card, a letter or signed statement from an editor-in-chief or equivalent, and recent fashion-related work.
The final documentation deadline is Tuesday, September 15. However, requests submitted by Tuesday, September 8 will be considered for the first press list shared with the brands’ press offices—making September 8 the more useful target for journalists seeking potential invitations.
Approved applicants receive a link to complete the official form. CNMI lists a €60 accreditation fee for this edition, including official-calendar shuttle transportation, brand press-office contacts, inclusion in shared press lists and access to the Fashion Hub VIP Lounge. The pass is issued digitally as a QR code.
CNMI explicitly warns that accreditation does not guarantee access to shows. Invitations are controlled by individual brands. Applicants must also provide a physical Milan address, including hotel details where relevant, if they wish to receive potential invitations.

New York: the official schedule is not a universal press pass
The CFDA owns and organizes the Fashion Calendar and Official New York Fashion Week Schedule. Its current NYFW page describes official-schedule administration, media and retail initiatives, transportation and designer programs, but it does not advertise a general public press-accreditation form equivalent to London’s platform or Milan’s credential.
Our assessment: journalists covering New York should treat the official schedule as the starting map, then work directly with each designer, show producer or PR agency for invitations and access requirements. That is a practical interpretation of the current official information—not a claim that one private credentialing route applies to every event.
The full September lineup is summarized in our NYFW CFDA SS27 schedule report.
What a strong press dossier should contain
Requirements vary, but the official criteria point to a common professional standard. A complete dossier should be ready to send as one organized file or link and include:
- a current assignment or commissioning letter on publication letterhead;
- recent fashion coverage with live links and dates;
- verified publication reach or audience analytics;
- a press card, where available;
- a concise coverage plan identifying relevant designers or beats;
- the applicant’s role, contact information and September travel address;
- clear photographer credits and intended image usage when requesting photo access.
Our analysis: accreditation is becoming more evidence-led
The SS27 requirements show that fashion-week organizers increasingly separate professional categories and ask for measurable evidence of recent work, audience, commissioning and intended use. Large follower counts can support a creator application, but they do not replace editorial proof where the applicant is seeking press status.
For publications and PR teams, early preparation matters because accreditation is only the first layer of access. The strongest strategy combines official registration with direct, relevant outreach to house press offices—supported by a credible assignment, a specific coverage angle and evidence that previous work was delivered professionally.
