The Big Four Are Complete: Fashion Month Closes in Paris After Four Cities and Hundreds of Shows
From New York to London, Milan and finally Paris, the Spring/Summer 2027 fashion season came to an end on October 6 as Louis Vuitton closed the final day of Paris Fashion Week. After nearly a month of runways, presentations, backstage moments and international travel, fashion’s Big Four have officially completed another season.
And just like that, Fashion Month is over.
On October 6, 2026, the Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear circuit reached its final destination in Paris, bringing to a close the industry's journey through the four cities that continue to define the international fashion calendar: New York, London, Milan and Paris.
The official season began in New York on September 10 and traveled through London and Milan before arriving in Paris on September 28. Paris Fashion Week concluded Tuesday evening with Louis Vuitton's 6:30 p.m. show, the final scheduled runway show on the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode's October 6 calendar.
For editors, buyers, photographers, models, stylists, celebrities and the thousands of people working behind the scenes, it marked the end of almost a month spent moving from one fashion capital to another.
New York Started the Conversation
New York Fashion Week ran September 10–15, opening the official Big Four calendar with the American collections.
The CFDA's preliminary official schedule featured 70 runway shows and designer presentations, alongside additional collections shown digitally and by appointment. The official calendar included names ranging from Calvin Klein Collection and Michael Kors to Tory Burch, Khaite, Carolina Herrera and Thom Browne, while Ralph Lauren, Coach, Cult Gaia and Rachel Comey were among the major names showing immediately before the official opening.
Paris Runway Official was there to capture Michael Kors, Christian Siriano, Nardos, The Blonds, Andrew Kwon & more.

As always, the official calendar told only part of New York's story. Independent producers, emerging-designer platforms, presentations and off-calendar events extended Fashion Week far beyond those 70 official entries.
Then the industry packed its bags for London.
London Put Creativity Back at the Center
From September 17–21, London took over.
The British capital's SS27 season included 47 catwalk shows and 23 presentations, alongside digital activations and an extensive schedule of Fashion Week events.
The season brought together London's emerging talent with established British fashion, including Burberry, Simone Rocha and Erdem, while McQueen returned to the London schedule and Christopher Kane presented his first collection for Mulberry.
Paris Runway Official opened with Paul Costelloe.

If New York begins Fashion Month with American energy, London remains the stop where experimentation, emerging designers and individuality frequently take center stage.
And then came Milan.
Milan Brought the Houses Out
Running September 22–28, Milan Fashion Week shifted the conversation toward Italian craftsmanship and some of the industry's largest luxury houses.
The SS27 calendar included 54 physical shows and six digital shows, according to the season schedule reported by Vogue, with Prada, Fendi, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Giorgio Armani, Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli, Moschino and others appearing across the week.
The wider Milan calendar extended well beyond runway shows, with presentations, appointments and events happening throughout the city.
By the time Milan finished, however, Fashion Month was already moving toward its final and longest Big Four stop.
And Paris Had the Final Word
Paris Fashion Week ran September 28 through October 6, giving the SS27 season nine days in the French capital. F
The official Paris calendar encompassed roughly 68 runway shows and 33 presentations, according to published schedule counts, making it an especially dense conclusion to the season.
And on October 6, the final day brought one last succession of collections before Louis Vuitton took the 6:30 p.m. position... the last scheduled runway show of the official womenswear calendar.
It was a fitting conclusion.
Fashion Month always moves in the same unmistakable direction: New York starts it, London challenges it, Milan refines it and Paris closes it.
Four Cities, Hundreds of Fashion Moments
Counting Fashion Month isn't as simple as adding four numbers together.
The CFDA, British Fashion Council, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode categorize shows, presentations, appointments, digital events and other programming differently.
But the scale is undeniable.
New York's official schedule alone listed 70 runway shows and presentations. London staged 47 catwalk shows plus 23 presentations. Milan scheduled 54 physical and six digital shows. Paris finished with approximately 68 runway shows alongside dozens of presentations.
And even those figures don't capture the entire ecosystem.
Outside the official calendars were independent runway producers, emerging designers, private presentations, showrooms, parties, dinners, brand activations and off-calendar shows along with the photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists, dressers, production teams and models working behind every finished image.
For the audience, Fashion Month can look like four weeks of beautiful clothes.
For the industry, it is an enormous moving production.

So, When Does the Big Four Return?
Not for long.
The next major womenswear cycle will begin in February 2027, when designers turn from Spring/Summer 2027 to Fall/Winter 2027–28.
Current international calendar listings place New York Fashion Week February 11-16, London Fashion Week on February 18–22, Milan Fashion Week on February 23–March 1, and Paris Fashion Week on March 1–9. London's February dates are currently listed by the British Fashion Council as TBC, while the FHCM has officially confirmed Paris's March 1–9 window, so dates should continue to be checked as the individual official calendars are finalized.
Before then, fashion's calendar continues with menswear and couture. Paris Men's Fashion Week returns January 19–24, followed immediately by Paris Haute Couture Week January 25–28.
So while the Big Four womenswear circuit may have finished tonight, fashion itself doesn't stay quiet for very long.
For now, though, the garment bags can be zipped, the cameras can come down and the editors can finally begin sorting through nearly a month of collections.
From the first New York runway to the final show in Paris, Spring/Summer 2027 has officially been presented.
New York. London. Milan. Paris.
Four cities. Hundreds of shows and presentations. One Fashion Month and tonight, Paris had the final word.
