During Paris Fashion Week, STMITO, the fashion label led by designer and creative director Satomi Ito, presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, “MAGMA — A Beautiful Hell,” on October 4, 2026, at La Maison des Métallos in Paris. Presented in association with Global Fashion Collective, the collection introduced a powerful creative concept inspired by the contrasting ideas of beauty and destruction, exploring the tension between opposing forces through fashion.
The title MAGMA evokes the intense energy found beneath the Earth's surface, where heat, pressure and movement create something both destructive and extraordinary. Paired with the subtitle A Beautiful Hell, the collection's concept suggests a world in which beauty emerges from intensity, transformation and the unexpected. It is a compelling foundation for a designer whose presentation brought together traditional textile craftsmanship and contemporary fabrication technology.

Where Fashion Meets Technology
An important element of STMITO's Spring/Summer 2027 presentation was its collaboration with specialists in fabric development and three-dimensional fabrication. Textiles were provided by Suncorona Oda, while Stratasys Japan and Ogawamine Lab contributed to the collection's 3D fabrication, bringing an innovative dimension to the designer's creative process.
The combination of fabric and advanced manufacturing reflects the growing relationship between fashion design and technology, where new production methods offer designers additional possibilities for exploring structure, texture and artistic expression. For STMITO, these collaborations formed part of a presentation that connected the craftsmanship of garment creation with the possibilities of modern design.
The runway experience was accompanied by a piano performance from Midori Watanabe, introducing a musical element to the collection's presentation. The presence of live piano added another artistic dimension to the event, bringing together fashion, music and creative experimentation within the historic Parisian venue.

A Creative Vision Presented in Paris
The presentation was supported by an international beauty team, with Odete Da Silva leading hairstyling alongside the Odete Da Silva Hair Team. Makeup was directed by Cristina Cuellar and her team at Instituto Cristina Cuellar, with TEMPTU and Derma Store MX serving as official makeup sponsors.
Presented through Global Fashion Collective, STMITO's appearance during Paris Fashion Week offered Satomi Ito an international platform to introduce her Spring/Summer 2027 vision to the fashion community.
With MAGMA — A Beautiful Hell, the designer brought together an evocative creative theme, specialist textile development, three-dimensional fabrication and live musical performance. The presentation reflected the many disciplines involved in bringing a fashion collection to life, from the technical expertise behind the garments to the artistic elements surrounding their debut.
For Satomi Ito, the collection's title captures a striking contradiction: the possibility of finding beauty in something powerful, unpredictable and transformative. It is an idea that gives MAGMA its identity and places creative exploration at the heart of STMITO's Spring/Summer 2027 story.
