Sangeetha Menon Crowned Mrs. Glamour UK 2025: A Victory for Every Woman Told She Was “Too Much”

At the historic Kings Hall in Herne Bay, a moment of history unfolded as Sangeetha Menon was officially crowned Mrs. Glamour UK 2025, becoming the first Indian-born woman over 40 to take home the prestigious title.

But this was no ordinary pageant win. This is a shift in what beauty, resilience, and representation look like in modern Britain.

Standing proudly on the stage, Sangeetha was not just claiming a crown she was claiming space for every woman who’s ever been told she was too old, too big, too brown, or too different to shine. She proved all of these things to be wrong when she not only is proud of her age, but also how beautiful she is inside and out regardless of what the world tells you a pageant queen should look like.

Paris Runway Official and her sponsor, REVLON, was right there to support her.

A New Era of Glamour

The Mrs. Glamour UK pageant, held annually to spotlight elegance, confidence, and advocacy in modern womanhood, found in Sangeetha a champion who represents all three and more.

A plus-size woman living with congenital hypothyroidism, Sangeetha’s story is layered with strength. She has faced years of unsolicited advice, societal exclusion, and bullying about her weight. But instead of conforming to expectations, she defied them.

“This crown isn't just mine... it belongs to every woman who has ever been boxed in by someone else’s definition of beauty,” Sangeetha shared. “Glamour is not defined by age, size, or skin. Glamour is the confidence to be yourself, the strength to rise, and the heart to uplift others as you do.”

From Mrs. Congeniality to National Icon

Earlier this year, Sangeetha entered the world of pageantry through Mrs. Galaxy UK, where she earned the title of Mrs. Congeniality Galaxy 2025. That debut was a taste of something bigger and she seized it.

Her win at Mrs. Glamour UK isn’t the end of the story... it’s the beginning of a movement.

A Mission-Driven Crown

Sangeetha has laid out a bold and inspiring agenda:

Advocate for inclusivity and representation across age, body type, ethnicity, and health.

Expand her campaign “Unstoppable Me,” aimed at dismantling body shaming and improving self-image in children and teens.

Promote women-led businesses in fashion, beauty, and creative industries, highlighting voices that often go unheard.

Uplift through philanthropy, continuing her work with food banks, Dogs Trust, Christie Charity, YoungMinds, and children’s homes in India.

“Winning titles like this gives me a louder voice and I plan to use it to make sure every woman knows she is unstoppable,” Sangeetha said.

More Than a Crown

At a time when fashion and pageantry are under increasing pressure to diversify authentically, Sangeetha’s win stands as a powerful reminder that real glamour has no single mold. It’s not filtered, airbrushed, or boxed in... it’s simply lived. It is action by the woman who can either take the next step or not. And for Sangeetha, she certainly took the next step regardless of the noise, the distractions, etc. that may come her way.
