On February 28 in Milan, the House of IRA LANGEVIN will present ORIGAMI: 14 FORTUNES, a collection that approaches fashion not as spectacle, but as quiet revelation. The show which will be at the famous Centro Ambrosiano, in Milan, Italy will unfold with the production team Milano Fashion Vibes behind the scenes.
Rendered entirely in white, the collection unfolds like a sacred text written in fabric. Architectural dresses, shaped through precise folds and fluid draping, draw inspiration from ancient origami traditions where folded matter once served as a bridge between the visible and the invisible. Here, each fold becomes a symbolic gesture, a meditation on destiny, inner strength, and the fragile poetry of becoming.
Rather than offering garments as seasonal objects, ORIGAMI: 14 FORTUNES is conceived as a sequence of fourteen symbolic states... fourteen fortunes that mirror the turning points of a woman’s inner life. Purity of form replaces excess; silence becomes its own language. White is not used as absence, but as possibility... a “clean sheet” where nothing is concealed, and character is revealed through structure alone.
The craftsmanship behind the collection is deliberately slow and deeply intentional. Dresses are sculpted directly on the body through intricate hand draping and hidden internal constructions. Cotton capable of holding architectural geometry, dense silks and taffetas formed into deeply structured folds, and rare wild silk sourced from China coexist with experimental laboratory materials developed in collaboration with Italian factories. Each piece is singular, never reproduced. They are an autonomous art object shaped by dialogue between material, maker, and meaning. A deeply touched and prepared piece.
