What a time to be in London. This year, London Fashion Week is kicking off 'THE BIG 4' with the first ever show to focus on sustainability this year.... Something that shows have not advertised in past events. London is the first of the big 4 to put an emphasis and focus on sustainability in the fashion industry. We look forward to seeing if the designers also push for the change in the fashion industry.
On Thursday, February 20th, 2025, London Fashion Week will officially kick off. The Shows will run from February 20th - until the final shows on Monday, February 24th. London Fashion Week has been one of the 'smaller' shows of The Big 4. Each year, the city is losing more and more designers and not seeing fresh faces coming in. It is also the least googled show, with Paris being googled about 20 times larger online than London.
Yet, within this news emerges a fresh face... a designer that is making headlines. He has already been seen in Forbes where they called his line 'electrifying' and 'one to make bold changes' to London Fashion Week.
The Helen Anthony Presentation and Runway Show. The Presentation will take place on 2/20 at their flagship store, with the Runway Show to follow on Saturday evening at the Londoner Hotel. The presentation will focus on men's wear... where the runway show will focus on women's designs.
What did we notice about the designer? That he isn't afraid to push boundaries and the 'classics' of what London Fashion Week has always been. If we look at a designer like Schiaparelli who is pushing Paris into a new phase of their shows... Then Helen Anthony would be the one doing it for London. From his diverse set of models, to his colors, to the way he brings in music and visuals into his show... It isn't just a runway show but one that makes you feel.
