Luxe Style Fashion Week Brings “State of Empire” to New York Fashion Week, Uniting Fashion and Philanthropy

The September 13 Manhattan runway showcase will bring together luxury names, independent designers and emerging creatives while supporting arts opportunities for young people.

This September, Luxe Style Fashion Week is bringing fashion and purpose together in Manhattan with “New York Fashion Week: State of Empire,” a runway showcase taking place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at DCTV, 87 Lafayette Street.

Taking place amid the energy of New York Fashion Week, State of Empire is designed to bring designers, models, buyers, media, influencers and fashion professionals together for an afternoon centered on creativity, entrepreneurship and community.

The runway is slated to feature fashion and designs from Louis Vuitton, Playboy, Melissa Mercedes, Little Black Designs, Kween Kloset, King Killection and GBB Boutique, with additional names expected to be announced.

Fashion With a Purpose

Beyond the runway, the event will support a larger mission.

A portion of proceeds from State of Empire will benefit Global Creatives Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to provide young people with access to free creative arts projects, programs and classes.

The initiative is built around the belief that access to the arts should not depend on a family's ability to afford private programs. Funds raised will help give young creatives opportunities to explore their ideas, develop new skills and discover potential paths within art and the creative industries.

For Candice Christian, Executive Producer and CEO of Luxe Style Fashion Week, that connection between fashion and opportunity is central to the event.

“Fashion is art, and art has the ability to completely change the direction of a young person’s life,” Christian says. “The next great designer, photographer, artist, or creative entrepreneur may simply need someone to give them the opportunity to discover what they can do.”

Creating Connections Beyond the Runway

State of Empire is also positioning itself as a meeting point for the business side of fashion. Buyers, boutique owners, stylists and other industry professionals will have the opportunity to discover participating designers and potentially develop relationships extending beyond the September runway.

For media, the event offers a story that reaches beyond traditional fashion-week coverage, bringing together fashion, entrepreneurship, youth arts education and philanthropy within a single New York Fashion Week experience.

Backstage access, designer stories, runway photography and the work of Global Creatives Foundation are expected to provide additional opportunities for editorial coverage throughout the event.

With State of Empire, Luxe Style Fashion Week is looking beyond the spectacle of the runway to what fashion can make possible off of it using one of the industry's most visible weeks to celebrate established names, introduce independent talent and help create opportunities for the next generation of creatives.

New York Fashion Week: State of Empire takes place September 13, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at DCTV, 87 Lafayette Street in Manhattan.
