Loredana Panico Is Stepping Into Fashion on Her Own Terms

At 20, the Moldova-born, Ireland-based nursing student is beginning a new chapter—one centered on fashion, confidence and discovering the person she wants to become.

For Loredana Panico, entering the fashion industry isn't simply about stepping in front of a camera or onto a runway. It represents something more personal: the decision to finally pursue an interest she has carried since childhood.

Born in the Republic of Moldova, Loredana Panico has already experienced life across several cultures. She has lived in Russia and Italy and has called Ireland home for the past seven years. Now based in Tipperary, the 20-year-old is studying Intellectual Disability Nursing at the University of Limerick while also working as a healthcare assistant.

Fashion offers a creative contrast to that world.

"I've always had an interest in fashion and dressing up ever since I was a little girl," Loredana Panico says. For years, however, confidence kept her from exploring that interest professionally. In 2026, she decided that needed to change.

"This year I set myself the goal to finally explore the fashion world."

Fashion as Self-Discovery

Travel and experimentation with personal style have become important parts of Loredana Panico's journey. She follows designer brands, runway shows and fashion creators, but her larger goal isn't simply to replicate what she sees. She wants to discover an aesthetic—and confidence that feels authentically her own.

That desire led her to Paris Runway Official, where she hopes to begin building relationships within fashion, explore new opportunities and learn more about an industry she has admired from afar.

Rather than arriving with a rigid idea of where modeling must take her, Loredana Panico is allowing the experience to unfold.

Her perspective on purpose follows much the same philosophy. She describes it as an inner "why" and an ongoing journey of discovering yourself... something that can shift as a person grows and enters new stages of life.

For someone simultaneously pursuing healthcare and fashion, the two paths may initially appear worlds apart. Yet for Loredana Panico, they are connected by a common ambition: helping people.

Her ultimate goal is to use whatever platform she builds to encourage someone else to become more comfortable and confident in who they are.

"If by joining the fashion industry I can help at least one person become confident in their own skin," she says, "then my job is complete."

At 20, Loredana Panico isn't claiming to have every part of her future mapped out. That is precisely what makes this chapter interesting. She is giving herself permission to explore, experiment and be seen.

And sometimes, entering fashion isn't about already knowing exactly who you are. It's about discovering who you can become.
