From Madrid to the World: Miguel Batres Sets His Sights on an International Modeling Career
For Madrid-based model Miguel Batres, fashion has long represented something bigger than clothing. After years of imagining himself within the industry, he is steadily turning that ambition into experience building a portfolio that already includes runway appearances and international editorial features.
Growing up in Spain, Miguel Batres remembers being drawn to fashion from an early age. Modeling was something he could envision for himself long before it became part of his reality, and as opportunities began to emerge, social media became a place to document that evolution.
Today, his Instagram audience has grown to approximately 6,000–7,000 followers, offering a glimpse into his fashion experiences, photography and developing runway career.
Building His Place in Fashion
Miguel has already begun establishing a foundation within the industry, including walking in the Mediterrán Show and Beauty Event. His work has also reached the pages of publications including Selin Magazine, Glamour, Gmaro and Malvie.
Yet he views these early accomplishments as a starting point rather than a destination.
His focus now is on developing his potential, attending more castings and working alongside experienced designers, photographers and creative professionals. Ultimately, Batres hopes modeling will take him beyond Spain and allow him to build a genuinely international career.
"I'm most excited about the opportunity to grow as a model, meet new people and discover the world through modelling," he says.
Discipline Beyond the Runway
While developing his fashion career, Batres is also studying for a vocational degree in IT, an entirely different discipline that reflects another side of his ambitions.
Away from technology and fashion, he has a passion for parkour... a pursuit built around movement, control and the willingness to continually challenge physical limitations.
That drive toward improvement carries into the way Batres approaches modeling as well. Rather than defining success by recognition alone, he is interested in becoming a stronger version of himself with each new experience.
For him, purpose is closely connected to having something worth pursuing: a goal or dream that provides the motivation to continue moving forward.
Creating What Comes Next
Miguel describes himself as responsible, friendly and approachable, qualities he hopes will remain central to his reputation as his career grows. In an industry built heavily around collaboration, he believes treating the people around him with kindness and respect matters just as much as what happens in front of the camera.
Creativity is another important part of that identity. Both creating and designing interest him because of their ability to transform something imagined into something tangible.
"Creating means turning an idea or vision into something real."
In many ways, that philosophy mirrors his own journey.
The dream of becoming a model began as an idea years ago. Now there are runways, editorials and a growing portfolio behind it. The next ambition is bigger: new cities, international opportunities and the chance to discover just how far fashion can take him.
