Family, Community, and Charity: Olivia Gear’s Path to the Miss Ireland Crown
DUBLIN, IRELAND | June 2025 — As the 77th Annual Miss Ireland Final approaches, Miss Dublin West Olivia Gear is using her platform to champion more than just beauty. She’s raising critical funds and awareness for two national charities close to her heart: Dyslexia Ireland and Enable Ireland, through the Miss Ireland organization’s Beauty with a Purpose initiative.
Set to compete on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Knightsbrook Hotel in County Meath, Olivia represents a new generation of contestants... those motivated not just by crowns, but by community.
“These charities reflect deeply personal parts of my story,” said Olivia. “Like many others, I’ve faced the challenges of learning differences, and I’ve seen firsthand how meaningful the right support can be. This campaign is about making sure others get the same chance to thrive.”
Through her campaign, Olivia is raising funds for:
Dyslexia Ireland, which supports individuals with dyslexia through education, awareness, and resources.
Enable Ireland, which delivers services for children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities.
In a show of heartfelt support, Olivia’s father and sponsor, Martin Gear of Martin Gear Jewellers, has created an incentive for donors: a giveaway of two handcrafted diamond rings, one of which is valued at €5,000. Each ring has been personally designed by Martin in his award-winning Dublin workshop at 5 Mary Street, where he is recognized as one of Ireland’s most esteemed jewellers.
“I’m not only proud of Olivia as my daughter, but of the purpose she carries,” Martin shared. “This giveaway is a celebration of her heart for others and a way for our community to stand behind two life-changing organisations.”

About Olivia Gear
Outside the pageant spotlight, Olivia works full-time as a lead agent at Delta Airlines in Dublin Airport and serves as a Grooming Officer in Terminal 2. Her love for travel and passion for people fuel her dream of one day combining modeling with international exploration.
As the eldest of five children in a close-knit Irish family, Olivia credits her upbringing filled with teamwork, resilience, and love for shaping her grounded yet ambitious outlook. “My grandad is a huge part of our lives,” she shares. “I come from a busy household, but it’s made me strong and prepared me for anything.”
