"Dreamlike moments that feel suspended in time" - Alexandra Grecco unveils SS26 Collection ‘Reverie’ in SOHO

To celebrate the launch of the new collection, ‘Reverie’ , Alexandra Grecco hosted an exclusive preview event at their SoHo flagship store in New York, located at 160 Mercer St.

THE ROAD TO THE UNVEILING

Let us take you, our reader, down an intimate road with us as we present to you the Alexandra Grecco Collection, as if you were there. From start to finish.

STEPPING IN TO ALEXANDRA'S WORLD

Upon arriving, we found ourselves at the Soho Flagship Store for Alexandra Grecco. "I knew I wanted the space to feel inviting and warm and more like a home than a shop. A space to connect and feel relaxed. I want our brides to feel like they are playing dress up at their friends fancy apartment.” says Alexandra Grecco. And from the moment stepping in, that is what we felt.

THE EVENT

The Fashion PR Firm was invited to the cocktail event, which promised a night of couture gowns, craftsmanship, glamour and the showcasing of the designers collection.

TAKE US BACK....

When you walked into the event you immediately felt the atmosphere turn from the fast city and streets of Soho to something much more intimate, with decor that took us back to the 1920's and 30's... a time that Alexandra notes as 'dreamlike... as if moments were suspended in time'. The cocktail event recognized the artistry of Man Ray and the refined silhouettes of the 1920s and ’30s.

Not only was the flagship store dreamlike, but the gowns, accessories and jewelry did not disappoint. "We could not take our eyes off of the crochet bonnets that Alexandra showcased" says Brit, journalist for the Fashion PR Firm. "Our team took some stunning images of these pieces as it was the touch needed to really take us back to this dreamlike moment that Alexandra explained."

ABOUT THE COLLECTION:

Working almost exclusively in solid silks - signature silk crepe, crepe back satin, silk chiffon - and introducing new solids like crisp silk taffeta and shantung, Reverie balances softness with strength. French laces with antique sensibility and scalloped details appear in veils, accessories, and select gowns, now available in warm ivory tones as well as their signature off-white.

"This collection came from a place of reverie - those quiet, otherworldly, dreamlike moments that feel suspended in time," says Alexandra Grecco, Designer and Founder. "I was deeply inspired by the surrealist artists and designers of the early 20th century who weren’t afraid to challenge structure, shape, and tradition. There’s a softness to each look, but also a sense of intention and strength, much like the women we design for."
