Chanel Show 'endures' and dazzles despite not having a Creative Director... Showing exactly why CHANEL is timeless.

Dear reader,

Chanel's Fall-Winter collection graced the final day of Paris Women's Fashion Week on Tuesday. Paris Fashion Week, which ran from March 6-11 in Paris, France... had a big day on its final day with shows from CHANEL, MIU MIU, Louis Vuitton, YSL and more.

The CHANEL show, designed without incoming artistic director Matthieu Blazy, captivated with its interplay of proportions and layering.

By all logic, Chanel should be floundering. A global fashion brand without a Creative Director, the house has been in a state of limbo since the abrupt departure of Virginie Viard, drifting toward an uncertain horizon while awaiting the arrival of Matthieu Blazy in the fall. Matthieu won't show his first show until 2026.

Yet against all odds, inside the majestic Grand Palais, Chanel did what it has done for a century: endure.

Set in the Grand Palais exhibition hall, the presentation featured a striking black ribbon spiraling dramatically towards the glass ceiling. The guests lined a white runway while the black ribbon went from floor to ceiling.

Standout pieces included a versatile black tweed jacket with jewel buttons, transforming into a long coat-dress, and an oversized poplin shirt cascading to the ankles. A pink tailored short ensemble was elegantly layered with a sheer jacket and a matching long transparent skirt. Of course, plaid was also a star at the show, with models taking the runway in iconic plaid looks.

The collection's focus on proportion extended to the accessories, with bags resembling oversized pearl necklaces, dramatic pearl rings, and large clutches. Miniature handbags also made a notable appearance.

Celebrities attending on Tuesday included fashion icon Anna Wintour, supermodel Naomi Campbell, South African singer Tyla, and French actors Anna Mouglalis and Carole Bouquet.
