Chanel creates interlocking 'C' Runway - Showing the brand is infinite with timeless pieces

Chanel's Spring/Summer 2025 catwalk show, held Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 at the Grand Palais in central Paris, featured a sprawling runway set in the shape of the iconic interlocking C logo. This remarkable show also marked 110 years of Chanel Haute Couture.

The runway's design, a literal double C, symbolized the intersection of Chanel's renowned logo and the concept of infinity, reflecting the House's legacy of boundless creativity, meticulous craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.

The collection showcased vibrant silhouettes, highlighting Gabrielle Chanel's often-overlooked mastery of color alongside her groundbreaking use of black. As remember, she was known as the designer to introduce the 'little black dress' without a corset which was groundbreaking for her time.

Notable guests in attendance included House ambassadors and friends Dua Lipa, G-Dragon, Lily-Rose Depp, JENNIE, and Marion Cotillard.

Models graced the white carpet runway in a pastel-colored array of shimmering dresses and tailored jackets, many featuring emphasized, voluminous shoulders. The collection included trim jackets with rounded, broadened shoulders, sheer dresses adorned with feathers, and designs with relaxed sleeves and flouncy skirts.

Following the show, the applauding audience briefly paused, seemingly expecting a designer's bow, before departing back into the city of love, Paris. Chanel, currently without a creative director since Virginie Viard's departure last year, has relied on in-house design teams. Which we can't complain... the show was one that reminded us of the 90's. Full of color, materials that were light and flowy, etc. While Matthieu Blazy was announced as Viard's successor in December, there was no closing bow or designer appearance at this show.
