Aadya Srivastava: From Miss Universe Ireland to Fashion's Next Chapter
By Paris Runway Official Editorial Team
For Aadya Srivastava, fashion has always represented something much deeper than beautiful clothing. It is history, architecture, culture, and one of the world's most powerful forms of self-expression.
After making history as Miss Universe Ireland 2025, Aadya is now embarking on a new chapter... one that takes her from the pageant stage toward the world of international fashion.
While many know her for wearing a crown, Aadya hopes her next story will be told through editorials, runway shows, and the creative language of fashion.
"Fashion speaks every language," she says. "It communicates things that words often cannot."
Born and raised in Galway, Ireland, Aadya's journey has always been one of embracing multiple identities. As a first-generation Indian-Irish woman, she grew up navigating two cultures while developing a deep appreciation for diversity and representation.
That perspective would ultimately become one of the defining themes of her reign as Miss Universe Ireland.
Throughout the competition and the months that followed, Aadya used her platform to raise awareness about racism in Ireland, speaking openly about her own experiences as the daughter of immigrants and advocating for a more inclusive society.
Her message resonated across the country.
National publications including The Irish Times, Irish Central, The Irish Mirror, Extra.ie, Evoke, The Connaught Telegraph, and Pageanthology featured her story, while numerous radio interviews allowed her to discuss identity, representation, and what it meant to represent Ireland as a first-generation Indian woman on the international stage.
"It was never just about wearing the crown," she reflects. "It was about representing people who hadn't always seen themselves represented."
That same passion for representation is what now draws her toward fashion.
Although her runway experience has so far been limited to pageantry, Aadya has spent years studying fashion history in her own time, fascinated by the evolution of couture, design, and the cultural movements that have shaped the industry.
For her, fashion is equal parts art, storytelling, and architecture.
Every silhouette carries history.
Every collection reflects a moment in time.
Every designer contributes another chapter to a constantly evolving cultural conversation.
It is this intellectual appreciation for fashion that distinguishes Aadya's ambitions as she prepares to transition into modeling.
Rather than simply appearing in front of the camera, she hopes to immerse herself within the creative process itself.
Her long-term vision includes walking major international runways, expanding her knowledge of the industry, and eventually combining her love of fashion with a career in fashion marketing, while continuing her studies in Law, Politics, and Economics.
Balancing academics with creativity has become one of the defining characteristics of her journey.
Currently working as an English language teacher during the summer while completing her university studies, Aadya demonstrates that ambition can exist across multiple disciplines simultaneously.
Her interests extend beyond fashion into human rights advocacy, content creation, and education, all driven by a belief that meaningful change begins with conversation and understanding.
She also believes that purpose is something we continue creating throughout our lives.
"I think purpose is the impact you have on people," she says. "Every person you meet, every opportunity you take, every challenge you overcome—it all shapes the legacy you leave behind."
That philosophy is reflected in the Latin phrase she lives by:
"Omnia Causa Fiunt."
"Everything happens for a reason."
It is a reminder that every experience—whether success, disappointment, or unexpected opportunity—contributes to the person we ultimately become.
Looking ahead, Aadya hopes to continue stepping outside her comfort zone, embracing opportunities that challenge her while remaining true to the values that first earned her national recognition.
She dreams of one day walking the world's most prestigious runways, working alongside celebrated designers, and helping shape the future of fashion through creativity, intelligence, and advocacy.
Most importantly, she hopes to inspire another generation of young girls who may see themselves reflected in her journey.
"When I was growing up, I rarely saw girls who looked like me represented in Western fashion," she says. "Today, we're seeing more diversity than ever, and I think that's one of the most beautiful things happening in the industry."
It is a transformation she is proud to be part of.
From representing Ireland on one of the world's biggest pageant stages to pursuing a future within international fashion, Aadya Srivastava is proving that reinvention is not about leaving one chapter behind.
It is about allowing every chapter to prepare you for the next.
For a woman who believes life itself is a canvas, this may only be the beginning of her most creative work yet.
